The Pretty Bra That Fits... Claudette

           With so many designers it can be overwhelming to find good bras that make you feel sexy no matter your cup size. Claudette is our pick of the day for bras that give support, comfort and still make you look good. Using a softer wire in their bras, it is comfortable and doesn't constrain. Claudette is never shy to use bold colors and their sheer Dessous mesh range is sheer up to a G cup. What's special about the Dessous bra is that it has a 3-part design unlike most bras out there. As a lover of sheer bras myself I couldn't resist getting one... or three of my own when I started working at Faire Frou Frou. I can proudly say that I adore my Claudette bras. Damaris - Spring 2013 Colorfest!

Damaris packs a punch with bright colors and spectacular designs in her SS2013 collection.  Each group, named for a Greek god/goddess, is filled with customary over-the-top details that are customary for Damaris creations.  A common thread seen in most groups is the use of fine silk tulle and beautiful French lace.  Once again we see the return of the deep V-Plunge Bra, which has become a customer favorite (great for when you're wearing a low, plunging neckline!).  Naturally we also see the return of the signature back cut-out panties as well as the cut-out back-tie panties.  Almost every piece has a gold horseshoe clasp fastener.  If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing in person or owning a Damaris design, you're missing out.  It's a true luxury (handmade in a London atelier) that's sure to make you (and a lucky someone else) smile.

Frou Frou Tutu Pom Poms - the Perfect Valentine's Accessory!

It seems that every year we decorate for Valentine's Day at Faire Frou Frou customers inevitably want to purchase our store decorations...they want to take a little bit of the frou-frou experience home with them.  This year we anticipated the demand by creating the most adorable decorations and making them readily available for purchase (both in-store and online customers!).  We are so excited to present the Frou Frou Tutu Pom Pom!  These little balls of cuteness are made of tulle (in pink, light pink, white and shocking pink) and fastened with a 4' strand of pale pink double-faced satin ribbon.  As we've discovered, these little pom poms are great to hang in the window, hang from a ceiling light fixture, pin to the walls, accent a side table or a chair (as you would a pillow)...so many options for how to enjoy them!

It's been a while since we shared our Life on Instagram over here on the blog!  A lot of sparkly events had taken place with the holiday season, which meant any excuse for sequins, extra jewelry and pops of color.  If anything is a constant with us, it's our love of wearing color, especially a bold pop of hot pink!

Inspiration Board; Pink, Peach & Grey

Today we decided to create an inspiration board, particularly because we have so many amazing photographs on our computer that wouldn't otherwise be posted on our site.  The theme for this board are the colors gray & peach/pink.  We began the board with the Alessandra-Russh photo (as shown in full above) and built the images around her.  Isn't it lovely when an image inspires you so?

We are planning on creating inspiration boards more frequently on our blog...simply because they are fun to make and exciting to share!  Of course there will certainly be lingerie elements in every board we create!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It's time to 'think pink' for Breast Cancer Awareness month!
This is a reminder to do your monthly breast self-examination (if you're over age 20) since we know that early detection is critical to successful treatment.
For more information, we suggest that you check out the Susan G. Komen for the Cure website (click here). Also, their site has the Promise Shop where you can buy some fun goodies in which 50-80% of the price of all items sold funds research and community outreach programs. These programs ultimately save lives and will hopefully end breast cancer forever. Of course, you can also send in a donation! There are numerous organizations devoted to battling breast cancer (just Google search it), and also plenty of tips for reducing your risk. Some suggestions are: Cut down on alcohol, eat fruit, get out and walk, avoid HRT, lose weight (if you suffer from obesity) and get screened! Those are just a few pointers, but really the ultimate goal is to crush this disease altogether with research and discovering a cure.
