Where We've Been & Where To Find Us!

We are long overdue with an explanation for where we've been!  Team Frou Frou Fashionista hasn't disappeared, we've just been spending our time elsewhere, as explained by the above list.  We are still going strong with our Boutique (both in Studio City, CA and online), and certainly keep busy on social media.  Almost daily, new images are posted to Instagram and Facebook, and new inspiration is constantly to be found on BOTH of our Pinterest pages (there's one for each of the co-owners, Gail and Alison). 
In the past couple of years, our focus has shifted from reading & writing blog posts to searching for eye candy and images that would otherwise be on this blog, and that's why we love Tumblr.  You get all of the beautiful images, without any discussion (our preference!).
All of that being said, we encourage you to follow us on all of our newer social media platforms!  We have so much to share, and want you to be up-to-date on what we're excited about when we're excited about it!

(As a little side note, all of our social media ends up flowing through to our Twitter account.  So please feel free to find us there as the one-stop shop for our latest news!)

We love that we have an opportunity to capture so many of the things that inspire us.  Over the past two weeks (or so) here is what's new and fabulous at Faire Frou Frou.  There's a lot of the Damaris Spring 2013 collection in there because it just looks so amazing...the purple and the bright orange/pink are definite eye-candy!  There's also the bright orange Marlies Dekkers Society bra that is stunning on every person who has tried it on.  Of course we had to share some of our garden rose photos because our backyard is filled with blooms of every color right now!

It's been a while since we shared our Life on Instagram over here on the blog!  A lot of sparkly events had taken place with the holiday season, which meant any excuse for sequins, extra jewelry and pops of color.  If anything is a constant with us, it's our love of wearing color, especially a bold pop of hot pink!

 Our favorite way to capture the pretty little moments of the week is Instagram.  Here's what inspired us this week.  There were the new arrivals from Hanky Panky (those leopard boyshorts!), Chantelle (the Paris Paris nude bra with black lace) and Gold Hawk (the PJ shirt), and then playing in a re-order of fabulous pink frilly robes from Dottie's Delights!  We even picked up a new line of greeting cards at our shop from Sugar Paper, which is one of our favorite little card shops in Los Angeles! 

Of course there were loads and loads of other new arrivals at the shop this week, but we don't want to overload anyone with that (that's what our Facebook page is for lol!).  

We also had a fabulous Trunk Show with the team from Claudette, and even brought in another new employee, the pin-up-worthy Coco Kailee!  

We are excited to see what develops for the week ahead...

Here's a little glimpse at our week according to Instagram.  Ironically the biggest event of the week that we participated in, Fashion's Night Out, was not captured by our pictures!  We celebrated FNO in Beverly Hills on Robertson Blvd. and then later at a private party at the Beverly Center...the good news is that time was spent shopping and enjoying other people's company rather than being glued to the iPhone, so perhaps the absence of photos is a success!  Anyhow, here are a few pictures taken at Faire Frou Frou, and even one or two taken out & about (one at the new Dylan's Candy Bar in Los Angeles and one taken at home with the dogs Lola & Nicky).  It's nice to have a visual recap of the week, don't you agree?  To see more of what was posted on Instagram or to see what we're up to each day, follow us at fairefroufrou.

We just got back from a whirlwind trip to NYC and naturally wanted to share our favorites from the week with you!  We really wish we had taken more photos, but the trip was so jam-packed busy that it didn't leave for much time to snap pics and then artfully edit them à la Instagram.  Anyhow, here's a nice sample of some fun times we enjoyed!  We attended Curve NY which is an awesome tradeshow for the intimate apparel industry.  Out of respect for the designers we represent, we are not showing too much of what will be unveiled for S/S2013 (those lingerie gals like to keep things under wraps!!), but we had to take a few photos at the show.  It's no surprise that we will once again be carrying Zinke, Bordelle and Marlies Dekkers in our store next season, so we felt comfortable sharing just a few pics from our visit to their booths.  We did discover several new brands, so expect to see some dazzling new talent at our shop for Spring...but until then, hush-hush! 
We spent A LOT of time at the tradeshow, so it left the tiniest amount of time for the speediest shopping time ever.  We popped by some of our favorite spots on Madison Avenue (Ralph Lauren to play with sunglasses...and then we got in trouble for taking pics!) and naturally Bergdorf Goodman (where we traditionally stop for lunch)!  One of the highlights of our free time was an impromptu meeting of a few friends for dinner.  This fabulous group of lingerie designers & bloggers included the ladies behind Style on the Couch, That Je Ne Sais Quoi, ARI DEIN, Gilda & Pearl, Kriss Soonik and Lascivious. 
Now it's time for us to write all of our Spring 2013 orders...it's going to be a busy week ahead!

We are proud to present our first week in the life of Faire Frou Frou, according to Instagram!  You've seen this segment on pretty much every blog in existence, and we're joined the masses simply because it's so much fun!  We're also figuring there's a handful of you who don't track the Instagram App on your phone, so here we've taken the favorites of the week to share with you (by the way, you can follow us on your computer here)! 
As you can see, our pictures are a little bit Faire Frou Frou boutique, a little bit of me (Alison, one of the co-owners), and a little bit of life outside the shop (I have a weakness for photographing my pets on a frequent basis).  We are excited to offer this as a regular weekly segment on our blog, in addition to our new series Making It Work: Lingerie as Outerwear.
