We just posted the new arrivals from Made by Niki on our website and have been chatting about it all week (if you follow us on Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook you may have  already noticed).  The Peplums collection for Spring 2013 is bright, cheerful, frilly and downright delightful.  These pieces capture the essence of a beautiful Spring season and certainly are perfect representation of the word frou-frou!  The colorway includes colors such as Barbie Pink and Canary Yellow, and includes new shapes such as the Shoulder Holster and the Bustle Panty.  Of course we had to bring back the famous String Playsuit, this time in a dip-dyed two-tone pink.  Just looking at these images makes us crave sweets...as it is, each item is like a delectable confection!

Made by Niki - String Collection

The Autumn/Winter 2011 collections are beginning to arrive at Faire Frou Frou, and what better start than with the String collection from Made by Niki.  The String collection consists of 2-tone fringe pieces handmade by Niki McMorrough & her team in England.  These slinky, swinging pieces are just incredible, and even create a tingling sensation when worn against the skin.  Not only is each design an aesthetic delight, the fit is superb: each item has velvet fully adjustable straps, whether at the waist or across the back, that make for flexible sizing.  This is especially critical to our online customers who are unsure whether a collection runs large or small, and in this case each item fits just as you wish (within reason, of course)!  Some of the items, such as the String Plunge Body (shown in black) even has a very light mesh liner in the bust area.  Though it may be difficult to tell from these photos, each design is made from 2-tone fringe: steel gray & black, and coral & stone.  It's a beautiful shadowing effect that adds just one more detail to these fine pieces.
Perhaps what we love best about the String group is that Made by Niki has created something quite unique and identifiable with her label.  We feel that she was very original in her concept and the designs are both seductive and sophisticated (our favorite combination).

"The Fash Pack" Shows Off Made by Niki

The stylist for this editorial (Naomi Mdudu) has won over our hearts as she perfectly incorporates Made by Niki lingerie into each shot.  It's the little touches like this that show why lingerie is such an important accessory.  The model is wearing the now famous retro-styled Classics front-cinch bra which has been a Made by Niki staple for a few years.

Andres Sarda - Spring 2010

Spanish lingerie brand Andres Sarda is really impressing us; last season you saw our post on their beautiful collection here (and here & here on the runway) and now we are presented with these images! Not only have they done a beautiful job designing the Spring 2010 collection, but the photographs are equally stunning.
Actually, the designs appear a bit more contemporary than we recall Andres Sarda being. We think of the brand as being very traditional, but with the sheer black skirt (that reminds us of Made by Niki's suspender skirt) and the sheer white corset & blouse that we are seeing now, the look is quite fresh and modern. If we find some runway images of this group we will share those as well.

Made by Niki - Slinkies!

We are so excited to announce the imminent arrival of the Slinkies collection from Made by Niki. This new everyday wear is functional while still remaining fabulous; pretty much what the brand is known for. This smooth and seamless collection of intimates is perfect under all of your clothing, but oh-so-sexy on its own! We've never seen functional lingerie look so good (unless you look at the Classics from Made by Niki, which are also pretty fab). The Slinkies pieces are "grippy on the inside, slippy on the outside" and they are made from anti-bacterial control fabric "with moisture wicking which keeps you fresh, cool and dry".
We've seen these pieces in person, and in action as modeled by the brand's designer Niki McMorrough, and they look great. She wore the Control Leggings with the Control Mini Dress for the day, and we were completely envious...she looked that good!
With shapewear this sexy, perhaps it's time to retire your Spanx...

Made by Niki - Fresh Foundations

We have posted on the Made by Niki 'Fresh Foundations' collection before, but with its incredible new photo shoot, it is definitely worth a re-visit!
Basically, the Fresh Foundations collection is a gorgeous revival of retro lingerie designs, but infused with modern sophistication and technology (yes, technology is involved in creating those amazing shaping fabrics).
This is basically the perfect lingerie for anyone who is inspired by the look of the show Mad Men...which is pretty much all of you!

P.S. - Don't you love the Christian Louboutin heels in these images! We've noticed that Niki always uses the best shoes (Louboutins) in every photo shoot for her brand...what a lovely detail!

Made by Niki - Fresh Foundations {new arrivals}

It is generally assumed that shapewear is unattractive, or more-or-less something you wouldn't want another soul see you wearing on its own. Until recently, we would have agreed with you whole-heartedly! However, all of that has changed with the arrival of Made by Niki's 'Fresh Foundations' collection. Fresh Foundations is an attractive shapewear line that gives women "the chance to lift, cinch, flatten and flatter their curves with ultimate sex appeal. Finally, you can have the ultimate figure and be glamorous and alluring when it's time to undress."
We brought in the most popular pieces from the range, and we love each one equally! The Front-Cinch Bra is a great piece - it's a bra that does not have padding or underwire, but has a superb construction that renders pads and underwire unnecessary. It fastens in the back, but has a unique adjustable front-cinch that allows you to alter how the bra fits in the front - pretty clever! The bras run snug, and we actually provide a fit guide for them when you view them online.
The other pieces, such as the Magic Bum Girdle and the Secretary Suspender Skirt, do an amazing job giving you a trim, slim silhouette without compromizing your style. All you have to do is take a look at the pictures in this post to see that!
