Olivia von Halle - Fall/Winter 2013 Shanghai-Inspired

The Fall/Winter 2013 collection for Olivia von Halle has an editorial campaign that equals the  decadent inspiration for the designs.   Inspired by the Art Deco movement in Shanghai, the collection includes satin silk pajama sets in rich jewel tones and introduces the new satin kimono style.  The now-famous Coco style PJs (as inspired by Coco Chanel) is back this time in an ivory crepe de chine with purple piping.  We love that Olivia worked with top Chinese fashion photographer Ele Jin to create this images along with the impeccable styling of ELLE China's Senior Fashion Editor Leaf Greener (it doesn't hurt to have top Chinese supermodels Miao Bin Si and Gao Ying wearing the goods either!).

After looking at these images you get the feeling that Olivia von Halle pajamas are the most fun PJs around!  And they are!  They are also incredibly luxurious, comfortable and oh-so-flattering.  We have been coveting these luxury men's style pajamas for a while, and we are thrilled to share that they are finally available at Faire Frou Frou! 

Olivia von Halle is a British luxury nightwear brand focusing on beautifully cut silk pajamas in stunning prints.  You have the option of the chic slouchy PJ pant or the silky smooth shorts that pair with the over-sized men's shirt.  The solid-colored sets (known as Coco) have a lovely tailored look with white piping as they are inspired by Coco Chanel wearing her lover's silk pajamas in the 1920s.  This androgynous style has an inimitable cut to keep the look tailored and feminine.

ARI DEIN Puts the Luxury in Lingerie

We believe that when it comes to Fall/Winter fashion, it's the time of year when you invest in something luxurious.  The styles are more decadent, the fabrics more posh; there's an overall richness which is often sought after as it's the time of year we wish to feel more cozy.  It's those characteristics that make the Fall/Winter collection from ARI DEIN an essential.  The latest designs are inspired by Shanghai in the 1920s & 1930s where the Art Deco movement flourished.  The names of each of the designs, such as Shanghai Waldorf Chemise and Song Dynasty Demi Robe are a nod to the Asian-inspired theme. 
The details of this collection are part of what make the ARI DEIN brand so special.  The gold leaf pattern delicately applied to whispery soft 100% silk chiffon, the handmade "good luck" knots applied to the Shanghai Waldorf chemise, the carefully applied ribbon applique along a box pleat...just a few examples of what set this brand apart.

Naked Princess: In a Boudoir State of Mind

We are long overdue sharing one of our favorite brands at Faire Frou Frou, the luxury brand Naked Princess.  Naked Princess is equal parts couture lingerie, luxury loungewear and luxe apothecary.  At our boutique, we are focused on the lingerie and loungewear element, which represents a lifestyle of sophistication and comfortable elegance.  To see the beautiful designs is one thing, but to feel the soft luxe fabric against your skin is quite another!  Many of the items shown are made from a combination of MicroModal and cashmere with trims that include French Darquer lace and Scalloped Italian Pizval lace.  All Naked Princess products are produced in Southern California from materials crafted in France and Italy.  They are designed by women for women, with an emphasis on silhouettes that can be worn either as innerwear or outerwear.  The purpose is for each piece designed by Naked Princess is to be multi-functional, comfortable and luxurious.  All we can say is Mission Accomplished!

Do you see a piece you absolutely need to have?  You do!  That's what we thought...we do too!  These beautiful silk loungewear pieces are by NYC-based brand Brulee and are now available at Faire Frou Frou.   

Brulee is a loungewear collection comprised of luxurious and comfortable pieces that are sexy, versatile and that travel brilliantly. Each piece is handcrafted in New York City from the finest silk, cotton and jersey materials and features delicate details and intricate workmanship using hand cast gold and crystal hardware.

Brulee designer Kristian Giambi has designed a collection that is classic, uncomplicated (in a good way) and elegant.  Most of the pieces are made from stretch silk with silk chiffon detailing.  Some items have pretty little black jewel buttons for a subtle touch of glam.
We are very pleased with each piece we brought into our boutique, and especially love the flattering fit of the Vamp Robe...so beautiful!  Also, the Vamp Teddy is making quite a statement on the mannequin in our front window...the eye-catching black & ivory chevron pattern is doing a great job luring customers into our store!
