Pin-Ups Galore!
images via here by artist David Wright
If you are fans of pin-up art, like we are, you will just love the demure & sexy subjects in the work by artist David Wright. We are ashamed to say this, but we weren't entirely familiar with his name or his work until recently. Luckily we discovered him and found plenty of darling girls clad in lingerie (or nothing at all) in true 1940s style. Most of these images were created for "The Sketch" magazine during the WWII era. Check out the rest of his portfolio...so many beautiful ladies!

Great pics! NEver heard about this artist, but will look into him now :-)
David Wright's artwork is fantastic. I couldn't help but let my mind wander back to a bygone era and to Fay Wray in the movie King Kong - and the words of Tim Curry in song about her satin-draped frame (Rocky Horror Picture Show). There is so much romance, beauty, and artistry throughout the history of lingerie i addition to the fact that it's hot! Thanks for posting this piece.
What a vision these pinup gals are! Great mix of sexy, strong and feminine! I just found out a friend of mine is the great grand-niece of bombshell Jane Russell -- she'd love this art!
Oh, I do love the picture where she is sat on a stool in front of a dressing table. I long for a proper dressing table like that!
Love it! The first one is my fav because is at the same time very elegant.
