Chantal Thomass - Always Perfect!

Thanks to Kelly over at The Lingerie Post, we found out about the new collections being shown on the Chantal Thomass website. This must-have French label consistently has beautiful photography for each collection, and their models always have the signature Chantal Thomass cropped coif!
In this Fall group, you are certain to see ruffles, polka dots and little silk bows!
If you're ever in Paris, you should definitely stop by their flagship boutique - you can't miss it with its beautiful exterior facade!

Lingerie Exhibit in St. Gallen (Switzerland)

Too bad we aren't traveling to Switzerland anytime soon, otherwise we would love to visit the "Secrets" lingerie exhibit at the St. Gallen Textile Museum. The city of St. Gallen is famous for being home to some of the most luxurious textiles manufacturers in the world!
The show (running now thru December 30, 2008) presents a broad selection of lingerie through the ages, as well as the evolution of textiles & embroideries used in creating lingerie.
Based on the images we've seen, this exhibit appears to be the ultimate historical lesson in lingerie. There are plenty of vintage photographs as well as vintage corsets, panties, bras, etc. There's even a section devoted to displaying how various ready-to-wear designers have been inspired by the look of lingerie.
For more details about the show, visit the exhibit's website! Let us know if you've gone, or will attend!
(Thank you to the Best of Intima for originally sharing this story with us!).

Shopping for D+ Cups Just Got Easier!

The Fleur T "Fleurtatious Bra", which comes in sizes 30GG to 36G.

While we await the launch of our revamped website (getting closer...we've been waiting forever!), we decided to make our existing online store a bit easier to shop from. For our customer base that wears a D-cup or larger (cup size, that is), we now have a category on our website for every item that comes in these particular sizes.
So, while we wait for our new site in which there will be a search by size function, you can now search the D-cup category to narrow down your search.
Also keep in mind that we are completely stepping up our size ranges in general, and will offer significantly more options this Fall from 32A to 40F (and a lot of options in between). We want everyone to share in the Faire Frou Frou experience!!
We are so excited about our growth in this direction, and can't wait to share these new products with you. Of course we will be posting about these new items as they become available.
Just a quick side note to all of our A-cup customers (we know there are a lot of you), we are working on adding a special category for you too!

Myla in the Press (Their Own!)

Lydia Hearst, as seen in the Fall 2008 Myla ad campaigns
Recently we've been featuring some of our favorite lingerie designers, as seen in the press. When doing a bit of research for British lingerie label Myla, we realized that their promo pictures were better than anything we had seen in the magazines. In fact, most of the press that Myla received used photos from their promo catalogue. That is most likely due to the fact that 'celebutante' heiress Lydia Hearst was used for their most recent catalogue campaign.
Basically, the whole point of us sharing our favorite images in the press is to show lingerie in its most high-fashion, stylish setting. As you can see, Myla does that quite well!

Boudoir Looks on the Runway

We found a piece from vogue.com which reported the trend of lingerie on the runway this season (Summer '08). Just the perfect piece to report on our blog!
Basically, the site featured several different high-profile designers who incorporated the boudoir look into their designs. From fancy corsets (hello John Galliano!) to slouchy silk PJs (Stella McCartney), the bedroom look is interpreted in very different ways.
We love them all!
