We've been a fan of Mint Siren for years, so it's fun to catch up and see what new goodies this fabulous UK label has been working on.  The Winter 2010/Spring 2011 season is a touch risque, mixed with sophistication and style.  We wouldn't expect anything less from designer Josefine Wing.  There are actually more pictures from the Spring 2011 season on their website, but we just picked our favorites to feature here!  We hope you enjoy the eye-candy!

Mint Siren - Fall 2010 Preview

It won't be much longer before the Fall/Winter 2010 lingerie collections hit the sales floor, so in preparation for the up-coming season we're going to whet your appetite with a sneak peek of the latest from U.K. brand Mint Siren. This sleek new collection will make its official debut in September 2010, in which designer Josefine Wing features a beautiful combination of black and gold intimates. We love how the pieces were styled with a definite ready-to-wear vibe...we wish we could walk around work like this (ahem, we would like the model's body too if that were to happen). Overall there's a lot of gold lace embellishment and metal detailing on Mint Siren's pieces, and swimwear has been added to the mix with a black denim bikini.

Leather Lingerie You Will Want to Wear

On our Twitter account last week we posted an image of the Mint Siren leather garter belt...and thought it was definitely worth sharing with our blog readers. When we think of leather lingerie we typically do not think of something so stylish and chic (really, leather is usually a fetish designer's fabric of choice second to perhaps latex!). In addition to the leather garter, there's also the strap torso harness, leather ankle strap and even the cage dress (which you can see the embossed detailing with the Mint Siren logo). Each leather piece has brass metal detailing, and the torso harness comes with a detachable rodeo handle - yee haw!
The wonderful part about each of these pieces is that they would be great layered with your outerwear. As for the ankle strap, it is a wonderful accessory to dress up any of your shoes (it's accented with brass rivets and a brass chain strap that is worn under the heel). You can order any of the leather pieces in either black or dark brown.

We were so happy to discover the latest images from Mint Siren for their Fall/Winter '09 campaign. The first set of shots, the polaroids, were taken by the brand's designer Josefine Wing - we love those! The other 2 sets were taken by local UK photographers. We like seeing how each photographer has a unique way of capturing the same outfits. All of the pieces are retro-inspired, and certainly some are more risque than others! As usual, we are loving the high-waisted panties!!

Once again, our readers impress us...last week's Guess the Designer was in fact Mint Siren! We honestly didn't expect too many people to know based on the pictures we posted.
This UK-based burlesque lingerie label is certainly intimate apparel that requires a performance...whether on stage or for an audience of one! We love the exaggerated bows and accessories - who wouldn't?!

You Asked...

It turns out that our former header on the blog generated a lot of interest - everyone wants to know who designed the high-waisted panties in the pictures! We are happy to let you know that the pictures are from the Alessandro Dell'Acqua S/S08 runway, Bottega Veneta and La Perla runway (though we think it's an older season show).
In this month's Harper's Bazaar, the Alessandro Dell'Acqua images are featured as well as some high-waisted panties from Gianfranco Ferre and Miu Miu. We're snatching up all of the designer high-waisted panties that we can get, and currently have styles from Mint Siren and Fifi Chachnil in our boutique. We have since sold out of The Lake & Stars high-waisted knickers, but expect to see more of the style in future shipments.
Attached is the image from Bazaar magazine which features some of the panties just mentioned. We are also including it because some of our favorite lingerie brands (sold at FFF) are included: Mimi Holliday, Sexy Panties and Naughty Knickers, Made by Niki and Myla. Congratulations to our designers who were featured!

V Magazine - High-Fashion Garters

You can't get much more high-fashion than accessorizing your garter straps with diamond brooches from Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, Graff, and Dior Fine Jewelry.
The following pictures were taken for V Magazine featuring model Jasmine Poulton's garters and underthings decked out to the extremes by stylist Bay Garnett.
Some of the panties shown in the photos are by Carine Gilson, Agent Provocateur, and Lejaby.
We were thinking it would be pretty to do the same with the lingerie in our boutique...take
a pair of Carine Gilson panties, pair it with an I.D. Sarrieri garter belt, layer a Mint Siren skirt over it, and embellish the look with some of the sparkly brooches you have from a few seasons back (remember when you just had to have them!). Our favorite look from this shoot is the Eiffel Tower pin with the pink Agent Provocateur stockings.

Oh My Goodness - We Are in LOVE!!!

Just this week we received an amazingly fun collection from British lingerie label Mint Siren. Mint Siren is a burlesque-inspired brand that is all about girly details, and is both extremely feminine and perhaps a bit edgy. It can best be described as Fifi Chachnil meets Dita von Teese style.
Faire Frou Frou is the FIRST and ONLY BOUTIQUE IN THE USA to represent this brand (we know other boutiques will snatch it up too after reading this!)!!! What an honor to introduce the states to this amazing label.
Mint Siren is the creation of designer Josefine Wing (a bit of a burlesque gal herself). Her philosophy is to create flattering, sensual clothing with a retro flavor for the modern woman.
