While looking around online this week we found this image of actress Julianne Moore in a dramatic lingerie-inspired ensemble. The dramatic hips at least create a smaller waist! Just a touch of John Galliano (girdle) and Fifi Chachnil (stockings) was all that we needed to post the top image. The second image works because of the lace hat by Maison Michel. All of these images would be perfect in Faire Frou Frou, don't you agree?

True, this blog is dedicated to luxury lingerie...but it's also unofficially dedicated to the style of burlesque superstar Dita von Teese. We can never resist a post about Dita, especially when it involves a gorgeous editorial spread in Harper's Bazaar (Russia). The only lingerie in this shoot is the bra she designed for Wonderbra, and of course the sexy stockings. The John Paul Gaultier bodysuit/dress has a definite lingerie appeal, but we're not entirely sure what to call it. Nonetheless, the results are striking and beautiful. Don't you just love the Christian Lacroix images!

Posh Undies

Victoria Beckham in UK Harper's Bazaar

It seems like more and more editorials are featuring lingerie-inspired looks, so it only seems natural to see it featured in the December issue of UK Harper's Bazaar! Considering that we weren't fans of Victoria Beckham's Armani lingerie ads, we are pleased with the outcome of this shoot. From what we can gather, the lingerie in these images are a combination of vintage and Dolce & Gabbana and What Katie Did. Much like our last post (with the ballgowns), these pictures were taken in such a decadent, beautiful setting!
PS - We like the idea that the 2-tone hosiery makes your legs appear smaller. We might give those a try!

Harper's Bazaar spread (Aussie edition)

We discovered these swimwear and lingerie shots from the latest edition of Harper's Bazaar Australia (thanks to the Pipeline) and were so pleased to see model Crystal Renn! Crystal is featured in this spread by Luis Sanchis (all images except the last picture) and the results are stunning! Not only are these pictures so beautiful, but it also proves that beauty comes in all sizes!

You Asked...

It turns out that our former header on the blog generated a lot of interest - everyone wants to know who designed the high-waisted panties in the pictures! We are happy to let you know that the pictures are from the Alessandro Dell'Acqua S/S08 runway, Bottega Veneta and La Perla runway (though we think it's an older season show).
In this month's Harper's Bazaar, the Alessandro Dell'Acqua images are featured as well as some high-waisted panties from Gianfranco Ferre and Miu Miu. We're snatching up all of the designer high-waisted panties that we can get, and currently have styles from Mint Siren and Fifi Chachnil in our boutique. We have since sold out of The Lake & Stars high-waisted knickers, but expect to see more of the style in future shipments.
Attached is the image from Bazaar magazine which features some of the panties just mentioned. We are also including it because some of our favorite lingerie brands (sold at FFF) are included: Mimi Holliday, Sexy Panties and Naughty Knickers, Made by Niki and Myla. Congratulations to our designers who were featured!
