Baring It All... In Front of a Camera?

In honor of Faire Frou Frou's new sister company bŏu dōir we want to talk about Boudoir Photo Shoots! Whether it's something special for your trousseau, an anniversary gift, or something fun just because, a boudoir photo shoot will always leave you feeling sexy and empowered. I'm sure many of you are thinking, "I could never do that" and that is just not true. Boudoir photography is a way to capture yourself in time whether you're 25 or 90 and make you feel youthful and sexy. As for your "problem areas" the photographers always know the best angles to make you look absolutely irresistible. With so many routes to go it can be hard to choose a theme for your photo shoot. Should it be colorful and fun? Classic in black and white? The decisions really are endless. My personal style favorites include, big sexy hair, some killer heels, dramatic lashes and a lot of lace. I also love when women include personal items such as  their mans button down or tie. Maybe even his favorite team's jersey. The most important thing about doing a boudoir photo shoot is making it personal and just having fun with it! Plus who doesn't love playing dress up?!

We are happy to share that all of our Fall 2011 New Arrivals from Fifi Chachnil are now available on our website!  Fifi Chachnil is one of the first brands we carried at Faire Frou Frou, and nearly 7 years later the brand is still going strong in our boutique probably because it so perfectly captures our frou-frou essence!  The first image shows a little French lesson we put together, sharing the essential lingerie terms every fashionista should know.  It also displays styles that we have at our shop, which cover the fundamentals of every lingerie wardrobe: lace, silk and ruffles!

Our Favorite Time of the Year; New Carine Gilson

It's always a pleasure to present the latest collection from Carine Gilson; one of the most high-end luxury lingerie designers in the world. The Fall/Winter 09/10 pieces are perfection, from the delicate gold Chantilly lace that tastefully trims each piece, to the luxurious hand-dyed satin silks. Carine actually designs her own lace, so it's just another exclusive you get when wearing her items. Our favorites this season include the asymmetrical chemise and the gorgeous fringe shawls! Actually, with Carine Gilson, it's hard to choose a favorite when we know that each piece is handmade with the precision and craftsmanship that is practically a lost art in our modern world. Another perk is that most of these pieces can be worn as outerwear...because Carine Gilson is meant to be shown off!

We were surprised to find some new images of Strumpet & Pink lingerie, and naturally wanted to share with you! These are some of the most creative panties around, and in some of the most vibrant colors you will see.
