Andres Sarda - Fall/Winter 2012 Runway

Just when you think you've seen every combination of how a bra and panty can be designed, you can get swept away by the creative vision of the Andres Sarda runway show.  Andres Sarda is one of the few luxury lingerie brands that regularly participates in a major fashion week runway show (Madrid Fashion Week), and without fail puts an over-the-top twist on its seasonal collection that's available for purchase in stores like Faire Frou Frou.  The runway ensembles show how beautiful lingerie can provide the foundation for something extraordinary.  Take an Andres Sarda lingerie set and dress it up with faux fur trims, ruffles, a top hat and tails!    The possibilities are endless, which is why we appreciate these images every season; showcasing the fantastic potential of beautiful lingerie.

Andres Sarda - Fall 2011

 It seems that since we started this blog a few years ago we have been covering the spectacular runway shows by Spanish lingerie designer Andres Sarda.  We consistently see an elaborate production with lingerie that is styled with ready-to-wear and accessorized according to the show's theme.  This Fall 2011 collection was designed as a nod to 1950s Mexico and the style of Frida Kahlo with roses, ribbons and bright colors.  The darker, more seductive pieces are certainly more European inspired, but accessorized with traditional Mexican headdresses and bright lipstick.  

As always, seeing these pictures make us wish we could attend one of the famous Andres Sarda runway shows during Madrid Fashion Week.  Luckily most of the lingerie you see will be available in boutiques, but we have to admit we are enjoying the runway accessories too...who wouldn't want to wear their hair filled with ribbons, pom poms and roses?

Sarda is the diffusion line by Spanish lingerie designer Andres Sarda, and this better-priced collection is really striking a chord with us!  The new Fall 2010 collection seems to have a bit of something for everyone; high-waist panties, polka dots, cut-out bras and even those cool garters that are kind of like a sexy version of a holster!  We recently read that sheer tops (like that seen in the last picture) are a trend for Fall, which means Sarda may be hitting a home run having so many key pieces. 
Our favorite piece is the black bra with the Spanish lace trim (5th pic down) because it's the Sarda version of the t-shirt bra...every piece in that group is quite functional for everyday but also very pretty because of the delicate trim.

Spanish lingerie brand Andres Sarda is really impressing us; last season you saw our post on their beautiful collection here (and here & here on the runway) and now we are presented with these images! Not only have they done a beautiful job designing the Spring 2010 collection, but the photographs are equally stunning.
Actually, the designs appear a bit more contemporary than we recall Andres Sarda being. We think of the brand as being very traditional, but with the sheer black skirt (that reminds us of Made by Niki's suspender skirt) and the sheer white corset & blouse that we are seeing now, the look is quite fresh and modern. If we find some runway images of this group we will share those as well.

Andres Sarda is always a fun brand for us to keep an eye on because of their semi-annual runway shows. In the lingerie world there aren't too many Fashion Week runway shows (we're talking large-scale like Chanel, Christian Dior, etc.), so when we see a designer like this pull out all the stops, we're excited! Andres Sarda debuted its Spring 2010 collection, consisting mainly of swimwear, at Madrid Fashion Week back in September. The pieces are inspired by the French Riviera during the 1970s, which we definitely see in those navy/white striped swimsuits!
Some of the lingerie pieces reminded us of Christian Dior...not a bad comparison! See the rest of the collection here.
