Clothing Artist Rachel Freire
When we see a collection like this, it reminds us of where clothing design meets art. Appropriately so, the designer behind these pieces, Rachel Freire, prefers to be considered an "artist in wolf's clothing" rather than a fashion designer. Of course you know why we wanted to feature her on our site; those garter belts and corset details were not something we were just going to keep to ourselves! Seeing collections like this are kind of how we view "lingerie of the future" with the latex, muted color palette, massive shoulder pads and fantasy-inspired detailing. In actuality, these items are from the designer's AW10 season, and you can see the new SS11 lookbook by clicking here.
As much as we enjoy these pieces, they are rather intimidating...what are your thoughts on it?

What interesting work!
wow I love these.
The top pick looks a bit like this vintage fan lacing girdle I found recently

A little too strange for our taste. It may be art, but not too wearable.
Incredible! Thanks for this post. It's one of my favorites to date.
