We are proud to introduce the latest and greatest in French intimate apparel: Monette.  The designs featured here are from the debut collection for Spring 2013 which clearly look like pieces women will buy for themselves, and their lover will want to buy for them too!  Probably the instant appeal of this label is due to the fact that the designer is Assya Hiridjee, the former designer for Princesse Tam-Tam and sister of the brand's founder.  The name of the brand is the French nickname for the name Simone (we didn't know that!), and the designs are targeted toward the sophisticated and chic woman.  Most of the debut collection is centered around silk, and Hiridjee indicates that “Monette is a new concept somewhere between lingerie and ready-to-wear." 
We're very excited about what we're seeing here and hoping to get it in the hands of Faire Frou Frou customers very soon!

Princesse Tam-Tam - Our Fall Wishlist Begins Here

The Fall 2011 collection from Princesse Tam-Tam is almost so perfect it's disturbing.  The disturbing part stems from the fact that as a U.S. boutique we are unable to stock the label at Faire Frou Frou (though we once did for a few wonderful years).  Nonetheless, we see quite a few styles that we are smitten with, and with a bit of luck, will be able to purchase for our personal lingerie collection!  The first picture with the lace paired with the bow (that would be the RUBY collection)...perfection!  And what about that rose-colored satin & stretch tulle soft bra (called TAQUINE, which also comes in a pretty yellow if you look at their website)...wowza.  Another incredible piece is the GABY bra which is shown in the pretty powder color with the pleats, front-center keyhole cutout and the center bow.  Probably by the time you read this post, we will be well into researching how to get our eager hands on these pieces!  Do you have some favorites?  Or are they all favorites?

Now that the Summer weather has finally arrived here in Los Angeles (hello 90-degree temperatures!), we were inspired to create a collage around a favorite little painting by Kiki and Polly entitled "All Together" (see in full above).   The touches of yellow/mustard color in the painting were the starting point for finding other images such as the yellow Princesse Tam-Tam set and the chartreuse-colored Etam set.  All of the other pictures just seemed to fall into place!

Princesse Tam-Tam

We were just speaking with a customer about how wonderful the French lingerie brand Princesse Tam-Tam is...and how much we miss it here at Faire Frou Frou. It's been a few seasons since the label disappeared from the U.S. which is such a loss for those of us who love pretty, everyday intimates at a wonderful price. So now we simply watch the brand from afar on their website and think of what we would buy if we could (for our store, that is).
The images for their Spring 2010 campaign are just so cute and fun. They almost indicate how happy and carefree you should be when wearing such a darling lingerie set. Granted, there are plenty of amazing brands to choose from in the lingerie world, but we can't help but miss this one.

Princesse Tam-Tam - New Fall Collection

To us, Princesse Tam-Tam represents affordable luxury. This French lingerie label has been creating adorable mix & match lingerie collections for over 20 years.
We are so pleased to reintroduce the brand into our boutique with its Fall collection! We just received two groups: Jalousie & Mascara. Both groups represent everyday elegance, as their bras & panties are smooth enough to wear under most clothing. That being said, Princesse Tam-Tam is known for being functional, comfortable, and feminine.
We are excited to share that we have a few more groups from Princesse Tam-Tam on their way in...we will keep you posted!
