Olivia von Halle - Fall/Winter 2013 Shanghai-Inspired

The Fall/Winter 2013 collection for Olivia von Halle has an editorial campaign that equals the  decadent inspiration for the designs.   Inspired by the Art Deco movement in Shanghai, the collection includes satin silk pajama sets in rich jewel tones and introduces the new satin kimono style.  The now-famous Coco style PJs (as inspired by Coco Chanel) is back this time in an ivory crepe de chine with purple piping.  We love that Olivia worked with top Chinese fashion photographer Ele Jin to create this images along with the impeccable styling of ELLE China's Senior Fashion Editor Leaf Greener (it doesn't hurt to have top Chinese supermodels Miao Bin Si and Gao Ying wearing the goods either!).

There's a bit of a chill in the air this morning, which means Fall is just around the corner and more importantly, Fall fashions are ready to be worn! This would be the perfect day to slip into a gorgeous silk kimono and relax...with some lovely undies underneath. These images by Javier Vallhonrat, one of our favorite photographers, are dark, moody (in a good way) and sensual.

The Madame V Kimono

Wrap yourself in the ultimate luxury...this floral silk kimono by UK designer Madame V. This decadent robe has a wide silk fuchsia obie for around the waist, and a brilliant fuchsia silk lining the entire interior. The trim along the neck and down to the ankles is a wide black satin. The robe itself is black silk with an Asian-inspired floral pattern (with red, white, purple, orange and green). The sleeves are dramatic, sweeping kimono style that drape down almost to your fingertips! A lovely touch is added with the black fringe tassels on the robe's waist tie. This robe's pattern also matches that of the Madame V 'Oriental Whip'...if you're interested in adding an accessory! SIZING NOTE: This robe is generously cut, so we believe the size Small can fit most people (from size 2-12). The robe measures approx. 57" long (from the top of the neck to the bottom).
