The Pretty Bra That Fits... Claudette

           With so many designers it can be overwhelming to find good bras that make you feel sexy no matter your cup size. Claudette is our pick of the day for bras that give support, comfort and still make you look good. Using a softer wire in their bras, it is comfortable and doesn't constrain. Claudette is never shy to use bold colors and their sheer Dessous mesh range is sheer up to a G cup. What's special about the Dessous bra is that it has a 3-part design unlike most bras out there. As a lover of sheer bras myself I couldn't resist getting one... or three of my own when I started working at Faire Frou Frou. I can proudly say that I adore my Claudette bras. They are fun to wear and give me the lift and support I need. Having been featured in magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Lingerie Insight and Vogue, it's obvious we aren't the only ones attracted to this exciting brand. With their Spring/ Summer '15 line we fell in love a little bit more with all of the new enticing colors. If you are fans of pin-up art, like we are, you will just love the demure & sexy subjects in the work by artist David Wright. We are ashamed to say this, but we weren't entirely familiar with his name or his work until recently. Luckily we discovered him and found plenty of darling girls clad in lingerie (or nothing at all) in true 1940s style. Most of these images were created for "The Sketch" magazine during the WWII era. Check out the rest of his portfolio...so many beautiful ladies!

We think Bordelle has perfected the art of the high-class, bad-girl lingerie ensemble. Bordelle balances naughty with sophistication, and a touch of S&M with class. Don't you agree? Their website is now showing images from the Spring 2010 collection, and normally we don't show images so far in advance, but if the designer is doing it we wanted to as well!
You will find some of the above pieces in the lovely Faire Frou Frou in just a few short months, so in the meantime you can start putting aside a Bordelle fund! This is a couture lingerie label that is handmade in a London atelier. The attention to detail is stunning, as well as the concept and design of each piece. Bordelle is really one of the standout new labels in the high-end lingerie market (much like most of the brands we carry). It truly has a style that is like no other, and we applaud their creativity! We also love the quality of their images for the latest collection; that really makes a difference in creating a brand's image.

looks from the current collections - looking cozy!

We were researching a post for LA-based loungewear label Wendy Glez, and discovered that the adorable Ashley Greene from the Twilight films had modeled for the brand's Spring/Summer collection. And since we have read all of the Twilight books and saw the movie (come on, the books were addictive!), we couldn't help but be excited by this little fact.
Ashley Greene & Twilight aside, our motivation for posting about Wendy Glez is due to the increased customer demand for pretty loungewear. You can tell that it's extremely comfortable, and most of the products are made from stretch jersey with lace trim. The last image is a glimpse into Wendy's couture or "Black Label" collection, which is a departure from her signature loungewear look. The Black Label pieces are more lingerie-focused, and quite sexy!

Lingerie & Beautiful Photography II

We were pleased to discover the work of British photographer Polly Wreford, who specializes in lifestyle photography with a romantic touch.

We posted a few of her pictures that include lingerie, one of a pretty boudoir, and one 'just because' shot.
Her work has a very feminine touch, and she (or her assistants) do a great job with styling the shoot. Polly Wreford is represented by the Sarah Kaye Representation agency. We noticed that along with her work, there were several other photographers that used lingerie in their pictures. Of course we had to share some of our favorites!

Below is the work of photographer Robert Allen, also from the Sarah Kaye agency.The bra above looks like Myla (it looks like one we had at the store a few years ago), the bustier below is most certainly ID Sarrieri!
