Doesn't black & white photography just seem to make everything an instant classic?  Model Elise Crombez is showing off some timeless pieces from this 2007 editorial for Numero Magazine.  Just seeing that black chemise in the first picture is a reminder of how some lingerie can be timeless.  Each image is quite beautiful, and check out those patterned tights in the last shot!  So beautiful!

Tyler Kandel; Lingerie & Light

We recently featured the work of Los Angeles photographer Tyler Kandel on our blog (see here) and were so pleased to receive a few more images to share with you.  Kandel certainly knows how to make a statement with sunlight (seriously, how does he do that?) and for purposes of our blog he certainly knows the right lingerie for his models.  The items featured here are from the latest Maison Close collection called 'Cabaret Royal' (with the exception of the 'Bel Ami' bra from the Summer season in the balloon pic).  So many of you have been purchasing Maison Close off our website that we feel most of our readers already own these pieces!  In any event, the lingerie adds a sensual element to what would already be considered lush, dramatic photos.

Christian Kettiger Photography

We were going to create an inspiration board around the first image (because we love it so much; the lingerie, the bedroom hair, the Louboutins!), but then realized that the extended portfolio of photographer Christian Kettiger was much more worthy of sharing.  Kettiger is a Swiss-born photographer whose 25-year career includes features in French ELLE, Marie Claire and Vogue. Some of his more recent works are posted here, and we're particularly pleased to see hosiery and lingerie displayed so artistically.

We've actually posted Alisa Connan's photography on our blog before (for a spread she shot for Esquire UK) and today we wanted to share a few more lingerie images from her portfolio. It appears that Connan specializes in photographs of women, with a nice little niche selection of lingerie images. As you can see, her images are sensual but quite refined.

Lingerie & Photography; Ari Michelson

While doing our last post on The Little Bra Company, we discovered the work of Los Angeles-based photographer Ari Michelson (he did the photography for the latest TLBC campaign).
As soon as we visited his website, the series of photos that you see posted here caught our eye, particularly with the sequin bras & panties and the patterned tights. The dramatic shadows, the leggy models, and an overall provocative theme.

Layered Pastels

above: what a gorgeous combination with the layered bras...we love it!

This is a look we don't see much of...pretty sheer lingerie layered over pretty solid lingerie! Whoever styled this shoot did a cool job, especially with matching the complimentary-colored lingerie sets. Even the fishnet stockings are color-coordinated; we love it! Or perhaps we're completely off, and this is someone's lingerie brand that specializes in a layered look. Hmm...we're going to hope we're right on this. We really enjoy each of these pictures...and especially love the turquoise bead necklace in the first shot. Enjoy!

A.F. Vandevorst Lingerie

We're going to go out on a limb here and assume that most of our readers did not realize that A.F. Vandevorst has a killer lingerie collection...and we're sure some of you haven't heard of the brand at all! Given that assumption, we are pleased to introduce the label to you!
A.F. Vandevorst is an edgy, fashion-forward Belgian clothing label owned by husband & wife team An & Filip Vandevorst (hence the A & F). We first discovered the line 3 years ago while at a lingerie tradeshow in Paris, and have toyed with the idea of carrying their lingerie line at Faire Frou Frou ever since. It seems that each year, their lingerie designs have gotten more impressive, and we are definitely enjoying their latest looks.
The images in this post are by Belgian photographer Ronald Stoops. The creativity displayed in the photographs over the mirror is riveting...how smart that you can see the product from the front and back at the same time, but in such a beautiful way. You can see more of his work here.

Stockings; as Interpreted by Katja Mayer

The one common denominator in all of these photos is the standout stockings and hosiery. Photographer Katja Mayer has captured several models wearing decorative thigh highs, perhaps while each was practicing their stretches! Our favorite is the purple pair in the first picture, and of course we always love the vintage-looking seamed stockings. What's interesting is that stockings are such a simple item that make such a dramatic impact, particularly when it comes to fashion photography.

Corrie Bond photography

We love this photo shoot by Corrie Bond because it shows a realistic look of lounging in sexy lingerie. The reality is that we're not hanging out in garter belts and thigh highs all weekend, but more likely relaxing in a cozy sweater and boyshorts (or flannel pants and a college t-shirt!).
The top image is from a shoot she did for Target - we just love how cute this look is! Granted, this look is not quite as common/everyday as the others that we've posted, but it's sweet nonetheless.
Take a cue from Corrie Bond and relax in your skivvies this weekend!
