Deviate From the Norm (in Lingerie)

While looking around on Tumblr this afternoon we came across this editorial from Kaltblut Magazine, thanks to a post by lingerie designer Karolina Laskowska.   As you can see, each picture features the prettiest lingerie which means there was no reason for us not to share!  Each image shows one darling lingerie set after another, and the best part is, that they are brands we are familiar with and fans of.  Each photo provides the designer credits, which include Karolina Laskowska (of course), Kiss Me Deadly, Discover Mademoiselle and Topshop.

Grazia Magazine; Sexy Vintage

Thanks to Catherine, the designer for the UK lingerie label Kiss Me Deadly, we discovered these gorgeous photographs from Grazia magazine.  Kiss Me Deadly (whose Candybox Knickers are shown in the 4th pic from the top) happens to be featured among some of fashion's top designers, including Carine Gilson, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel & Prada in this spread by Nelson Simoneau entitled "Sex and Vintage".  As you can see, there's a definite vintage vibe to each image with a hint of lingerie here and there...whether it's a bit of a bra showing or a pretty pair of stockings or thigh highs.  We are really impressed by the beauty of the hosiery, which happens to be provided by an Italian label called Transparenze - those lilac thigh highs are so beautiful!  Once again we are so pleased to see hosiery as a featured trend this season, much more so than previous years (since it inevitably becomes more popular as the weather gets cooler).

It's always fun when a contemporary designer can reinvent vintage lingerie into a fresh, sultry collection. Kiss Me Deadly is one of those brands that brings the 6-strap garter belt back into its full glory and creates figure-flattering pieces that make you a modern-day Ava Gardner! We just got the Vargas chemise and the Jolie bra/panty/garter set (for ourselves) and had a lot of fun playing around with the new pieces. The Vargas chemise is as effective as a Spanx slip, but as beautiful as a vintage pin-up ad. The Jolie bra lives up to its name with some lovely detail in its stitching and its retro cut.
The Jezebel Longline in red is also pretty stunning...something to put on the wish list.
This UK label has built quite a good name for itself (since launching in 2006), and each design is typically modeled by Morgana, the face of the brand who you see in all of the images above.
