If you aren't already familiar with Huit or don't currently own a Huit bra & panty set, you should.  We're being bossy because we love this brand for its incredible fit, its everyday functionality that blends so well with its super style.  Huit has been creating lingerie & swimwear for over 40 years, which means they've pinpointed what women want in: something that is comfortable, something that is stylish, something that can be worn under most clothing,  and something that is affordable (as far as European fashion labels go).

Andres Sarda - Fall/Winter 2012 Runway

Just when you think you've seen every combination of how a bra and panty can be designed, you can get swept away by the creative vision of the Andres Sarda runway show.  Andres Sarda is one of the few luxury lingerie brands that regularly participates in a major fashion week runway show (Madrid Fashion Week), and without fail puts an over-the-top twist on its seasonal collection that's available for purchase in stores like Faire Frou Frou.  The runway ensembles show how beautiful lingerie can provide the foundation for something extraordinary.  Take an Andres Sarda lingerie set and dress it up with faux fur trims, ruffles, a top hat and tails!    The possibilities are endless, which is why we appreciate these images every season; showcasing the fantastic potential of beautiful lingerie.

ARI DEIN Puts the Luxury in Lingerie

We believe that when it comes to Fall/Winter fashion, it's the time of year when you invest in something luxurious.  The styles are more decadent, the fabrics more posh; there's an overall richness which is often sought after as it's the time of year we wish to feel more cozy.  It's those characteristics that make the Fall/Winter collection from ARI DEIN an essential.  The latest designs are inspired by Shanghai in the 1920s & 1930s where the Art Deco movement flourished.  The names of each of the designs, such as Shanghai Waldorf Chemise and Song Dynasty Demi Robe are a nod to the Asian-inspired theme. 
The details of this collection are part of what make the ARI DEIN brand so special.  The gold leaf pattern delicately applied to whispery soft 100% silk chiffon, the handmade "good luck" knots applied to the Shanghai Waldorf chemise, the carefully applied ribbon applique along a box pleat...just a few examples of what set this brand apart.

ELLE Russia & Bordelle Lingerie

It wasn't until we were downloading these pictures from ELLE Russia that we realized this was an editorial for diamond jewelry, and not lingerie!  The reason being is that we immediately spotted a few items that we sell at Faire Frou Frou by Bordelle and Maison Close and certainly couldn't wait to share on the blog.  The first image is one of the most striking pieces of lingerie we have seen in a while, which is the Angela Voyeur Dress by Bordelle...see it in its full glory here (shown with detachable sleeves).  Of course there is the Bordelle Voyeur Suspender Belt which we also have, and the bow-tie set from Maison Close which has been a popular item for a few seasons.  The rest of the lingerie is a selection of beautiful pieces from Agent Provocateur, a lace bra from La Perla and hosiery by Falke.  Now, if you're interested in the diamonds, pretty much every major brand is represented here from Cartier to Van Cleef & Arpels, and they look like the "price upon request" type of jewels (our favorite kind!).

 Our favorite way to capture the pretty little moments of the week is Instagram.  Here's what inspired us this week.  There were the new arrivals from Hanky Panky (those leopard boyshorts!), Chantelle (the Paris Paris nude bra with black lace) and Gold Hawk (the PJ shirt), and then playing in a re-order of fabulous pink frilly robes from Dottie's Delights!  We even picked up a new line of greeting cards at our shop from Sugar Paper, which is one of our favorite little card shops in Los Angeles! 

Of course there were loads and loads of other new arrivals at the shop this week, but we don't want to overload anyone with that (that's what our Facebook page is for lol!).  

We also had a fabulous Trunk Show with the team from Claudette, and even brought in another new employee, the pin-up-worthy Coco Kailee!  

We are excited to see what develops for the week ahead...
