Lingerie & Photography: David Bellemere

yes, we had to censor the above image (from Elle Russia)...you can see the original here.

It's been a while since we've done a Lingerie & Photography post...and it's wonderful to have a little something that's inspired us enough to share with you!
Originally this post was meant to feature the images shown below (from Marie Claire Italy) because they are a bit more lingerie specific...but we just ended up being more drawn to the lighter, more airy images above (from Elle Russia).  In any event, if we had to use just one word to describe his work it would be sensual.
All of the photography is by David Bellemere (whom we could not find a proper biography for online), but we are curious, which style do you like best; the above images or the ones below?

Chantal Thomass - Spring 2011

images via Chantal Thomass

If any lingerie brand has a frou-frou spirit, it's Chantal Thomass!  Each season we enjoy showcasing the latest goodies from this darling French label.  The little red set (which appears to be gingham and is called La Fée Frivolité) in the first picture is our favorite, though we are also coveting the bra in the third pic with the black applique bow.
For those of you who may inquire, we still believe that Chantal Thomass is not available for sale in the U.S., which means none of the new collection will be at Faire Frou Frou.  We're still holding out for when that day comes!

Hopeless Lingerie - Bridal Collection

images via Hopeless Lingerie. photos by Josie Lee, Model Lulu Wagstaffe

It was only a matter of time before Hopeless Lingerie introduced a collection designed specifically with the bride in mind.  This may seem ironic especially since previous collections by Hopeless have been inspired by horror films...not that you would know by looking at these darling pieces.  The latest collection is called The Mirror, and according to designer Gaby Adamidis it was inspired by the duality of good and evil within a character in the film The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.  It's always fun to hear where a designer finds his or her inspiration!  Of course it wouldn't be a Hopeless collection without a few romantic details here and there, particularly with the ruffles and little bows.
We just ordered some favorites from this collection for Faire Frou Frou, which will hopefully arrive in about a month.  Let us know if you have a favorite!

Mint Siren: London Luxury Lingerie

images via Mint Siren, photos by Melissa Jenkins

We've been a fan of Mint Siren for years, so it's fun to catch up and see what new goodies this fabulous UK label has been working on.  The Winter 2010/Spring 2011 season is a touch risque, mixed with sophistication and style.  We wouldn't expect anything less from designer Josefine Wing.  There are actually more pictures from the Spring 2011 season on their website, but we just picked our favorites to feature here!  We hope you enjoy the eye-candy!

La Fée Verte - New To Our Frou Frou Lounge

My new favorite top...I wear it with everything!

Just short enough to wear as a top...a must show-off piece!

We have been waiting so patiently (6 months to be exact) to share the news that La Fée Verte is now being carried at Faire Frou Frou!  As we expand our Frou Frou Lounge (the loungewear section, that is) we keep in mind fabulous items such as those you see above that work not only as intimates but as outerwear.  We see potential in almost every style for an outerwear look...we are almost inclined to do a post doing just that.  It's one thing to see La Fée Verte in pictures, but to see it in person is equally, if not more invigorating.  When you see how beautifully constructed each item is, it's almost hard to believe the price-point.  Seriously, we're seeing some incredible Carine Gilson-esque looks at prices many more people can afford (though no disrespect to the art of Carine Gilson).  We love that!  We love that La Fée Verte is a brand that aims to pass along the luxury look to its customers at a price that the luxury consumer can swallow.  That being said, we are happy that this brand has a new home in Faire Frou Frou.
