We were going to do a completely different post today, but then we ran across these images (found here) and realized these pictures couldn't wait! Not only are these pictures absolutely stunning, but there's plenty of La Perla (from the Spring/Summer 2010 season), Chanel accessories and high-waist panties...you know those are some of our favorite things. If you like the look of those high-waist panties, look no further than ARI DEIN for a nearly identical vintage look!
The retro styling by Irene de Santis is incredible...and the 1940s hair makes us want to wear that adorable style!

We love the idea of making a statement with your intimates, and this Javier Vallhonrat editorial really does just that. This somewhat unlikely assortment of dresses, lingerie and chunky heels conjures up an urban showgirl theme. The sparkly eye make-up and the sequin accessories really help set the tone, and that Lascivious bodysuit was perfectly placed for this shoot. Plus, the more we see them, the more we are liking those Miu Miu print heels...
The photos are supposed to be reminiscent of the Vargas pin-up girls, but it almost looks more like a gritty (and glam) expose of a Moulin Rouge dancer. Perhaps this is what the Vargas girls would look like if they were painted in 2010...

Last year we did a post on pin-up photographer Carlo Pieroni, and we recently discovered that he added a few new images to his portfolio! His work really does capture the essence of the vintage pin-up from the fresh-faced leggy models to the campy illustrated backdrops.
The lingerie in each shot is so adorable, and one of the images actually features an entire Fifi Chachnil set sold at Faire Frou Frou. We have the lingerie, all we need is Carlo to come over with his camera! Wouldn't it be fun to splurge and have someone capture you in a photograph looking this amazing?
