With the success of our Boudoir Makeover post (click here for a refresher), we wanted to follow-up with a post on creating your own glamorous space. After all, you need a beautiful space for you and those gorgeous underpinnings you've been collecting!
This post is more about 'boudoir inspiration' than a 'how-to', since there are so many decorator blogs that explain that much better. When looking for inspiration for our boudoir makeover, we looked at a number of sites, particularly The Paris Apartment and Paris Hotel Boutique. We also discovered a few other lovely shops and blogs that will certainly help you create the boudoir look such as French Blue, Chinoiserie Chic, The French Bedroom Company and Paris Atelier.
It seems like the basis for creating the glamorous boudoir look is including some (if not all) of these elements: silk upholstered furniture, silk tufted headboard, mirror dresser or vanity, lucite details, crystal accents, antique perfume bottles, a satin upholstered chaise lounge, and those white fluffy sheepskin rugs (or even a flokati rug perhaps). For a more professional take on the look, visit the sites we listed above.
As for what you wear in your boudoir, everything you need can be found here.

  33. I've always been incredibly attracted to the boudoir look, without even knowing it, really. My bedroom is covered in powdery blue-ish aqua damask print, with a mirror-top desk, 50s peach silk sheets, excessive crystals, old perfume bottles with crystal tops, and Capo di Monte lamps that remind me of cupcakes. All I need is Jean Harlow and lots of fringe and I'll be SET! Beautiful images- GREAT find on the lucite table, by the way.
