We are ashamed to say this, but we weren't entirely familiar with his name or his work until recently. Luckily we discovered him and found plenty of darling girls clad in lingerie (or nothing at all) in true 1940s style. Most of these images were created for "The Sketch" magazine during the WWII era. I couldn't help but let my mind wander back to a bygone era and to Fay Wray in the movie King Kong - and the words of Tim Curry in song about her satin-draped frame (Rocky Horror Picture Show). There is so much romance, beauty, and artistry throughout the history of lingerie i addition to the fact that it's hot! Thanks for posting this piece.
