This photo certainly intrigued us, and raised the question "is it lingerie or outerwear?". We don't know the designer behind these pieces, nor do we know the magazine this came from, so it's all speculation at this point.
This reminds us of so many of our customers who shop at Faire Frou Frou and mention that some of our lingerie looks like ready-to-wear...and it is! With a bit of creativity and stylish flair, you can make almost any look work to your desired effect. That's the beauty of fashion these days. We make our own lingerie work as ready-to-wear as often as possible, and why not, it's too pretty to cover up!

They look almost like embellished slips to me, but you're right...it's so hard to tell!

Lovely pictures. I wore my silk pyjamas out recently to party where the theme was white, so perhaps that doesn't count as outerwear, but they looked fabulous. Anything silk will always be sexy x

i've always wanted a slip dress as a wedding dress but it poses the same question...is it too much lingerie? i think not :) love these though!
ReplyDeleteI agree these pieces can definately double as lingerie or outerwear - you see a lot of women at clubs in lingerie type numbers these days so the designers are getting more and more creative
